Refund & Returns

MapleV supplies aftermarket collision and body parts for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y to auto body shops and individual buyers across Canada. We want every order to be right the first time. If something is wrong with your order, this policy explains how returns and refunds work.

Return window

Unused parts in their original, undamaged packaging may be returned within 30 days of the invoice (order) date. Parts that have been installed, painted, prepped, drilled, modified, or otherwise altered are not eligible for return.

Fitment guarantee — free return if it doesn't fit

If an unused, uninstalled part in its original packaging does not fit the vehicle it is catalogued for, we make it right: request an RMA within 30 days and MapleV covers the return shipping, then exchanges the part for the correct one or refunds it in full. Fitment claims are verified against the part's OE cross-reference (and photos where helpful). This guarantee applies to genuine fitment mismatches on unaltered parts — it does not cover parts that have been installed, painted, prepped, or modified, or damage caused during a test fit.

RMA required

All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by MapleV. If you ordered with an account, the fastest way is the "Request return" button on your order under My Orders — it generates your RMA number automatically and notifies our team. For guest orders (or if you prefer email), write to [email protected] with your order number, the part(s) you wish to return, and the reason. Either way, wait for your RMA to be confirmed before shipping anything back — returns sent without an RMA may be refused or delayed.

Non-returnable items

Return shipping

The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the part is defective, mis-shipped, damaged in transit, or returned under the fitment guarantee above. In those cases, MapleV will arrange and pay for return freight, or reimburse a pre-approved return shipping cost. Returns must be packaged to the same standard as the original shipment; freight damage caused by inadequate packaging may reduce the refund.

Damaged or wrong items

Inspect every shipment on receipt. Report visible freight damage, missing pieces, or incorrect items within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the packaging and part. Concealed damage should be reported as soon as it is discovered. We will replace, credit, or refund at our discretion based on the situation.

Return-free replacement: where we mis-ship or a part arrives transit-damaged — especially bulky body parts such as bumper covers, where return freight is uneconomical — MapleV may, at its discretion and after verifying photos of the part, its labels, and the packing slip, ship the correct replacement right away and waive the return entirely: you keep or responsibly dispose of the original. Whether a return is waived is decided by MapleV case by case; where we do require the part back, we cover the return freight as described above.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method: card payments are refunded to the card via Stripe, and e-Transfer payments are refunded by Interac e-Transfer to the sender (trade accounts may instead choose an account credit). Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after the returned part is received and inspected. Original outbound shipping is non-refundable except where MapleV is at fault or the return falls under the fitment guarantee.

A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply to large, oversized, or special-order returns where permitted. No restocking fee applies to defective, mis-shipped, or fitment-guarantee returns.

Backordered items: if part of your order is on backorder, your card is only charged for the in-stock items at checkout; the backordered balance is billed separately once the restock arrives. You may cancel any backordered item at no charge at any time before it ships, and any amount already paid toward an unshipped backorder will be refunded in full.

Exchanges

Prefer to swap a part rather than refund it? Contact us to confirm availability of the replacement, then return the original in eligible condition. We ship the exchange once the original is received and inspected.

Warranty claims

Warranty claims for defective parts are handled separately from general returns and are covered by our Warranty (Limited Lifetime on body panels, 90 days on electrical, 12 months on suspension). Please contact us at [email protected] with the order number, photos, and a description of the defect.
