Read the part number stamped on the hinge you are replacing. Tesla fits either a standard hinge or this ACTIVE hinge (1643845-00-A) in the same position on the same model year, so the year alone does not tell you -- only the number on the original does.
What is different about an active hinge?
It is the hinge used with the active-hood pedestrian-protection system, and Tesla assigns it its own part number. It does not substitute for the standard hinge, and the standard hinge does not substitute for it.
