Tesla fender replacement cost: front fenders from CA$329 for the Model 3 and Model Y
Updated · Version française

A front fender replacement on a Tesla Model 3 or Model Y is three lines on the estimate: the fender, the labour to fit it, and the paint. The fender itself is CA$329 to CA$699 in our catalogue, depending on the car and whether you choose an aftermarket panel or a remanufactured Tesla one. Tesla's own service manual allows 0.90 to 1.14 hour per side to fit a new fender. Paint is priced by the shop for your colour.
Below: the fender price for each generation next to Tesla's flat-rate time, what the time includes, what else usually ends up on the bill, and how to read a quote against those numbers. Our prices are generated from the catalogue, so they match the product pages. We sell parts and do no body work, so we give no dollar figure for labour or paint.
Fender price and Tesla's labour time, by generation
Tesla lists two procedures for a front fender. Remove and install takes the fender off and puts the same one back, for example to repair it or to reach the parts behind it. Remove and replace fits a new fender and moves the small parts across. A new fender is the second one. The times below are for one side; a left and a right fender are two procedures.
For the 2017–2023 Model 3 we stock two versions of the same fender: an aftermarket panel at CA$329 and a remanufactured genuine Tesla panel at CA$699. Both carry Tesla's number for that side and both arrive e-coated.

What the labour time covers, and what it doesn't
A fender is the painted panel over the front wheel, and on these cars it is bolted on, not welded. Tesla's time still covers a lot more than four bolts. On the 2017–2023 Model 3 the replace procedure removes the rear underhood apron, the cabin intake duct, the hood latch cover and the frunk tub, then the front bumper cover and the headlight, unplugs the side repeater light and takes off the bracket that joins the bumper cover to the fender. Foam sealant between the top of the fender and the body is cut, the old sealant is scraped off the inner panel, and the new fender goes on over urethane primer and a dollop of urethane. The headlight grommet, the cowl screen bracket and three frunk clips move from the old fender to the new one, and the procedure fits a new side repeater light.
The Model Y Juniper procedure starts by disconnecting low-voltage power, then removes the front light bar, the front bumper cover and the headlamp before the fender's five bolts and two nuts come out. The 2020–2024 Model Y procedure also removes a front wheel, the front aero shield and the wheel liner to reach the fender's lower fasteners, which is why its time is a little longer than the Model 3's.
Tesla notes that each flat-rate time already includes the procedures it links to, and that correction codes should not be stacked unless the procedure says so. A quote that bills the headlight and the bumper cover as separate labour lines on top of the fender time is counting the same work twice. Fender alignment, so the gaps to the hood and the door match, is part of the fitting.
None of this includes paint. Every fender we sell arrives e-coated: primed, no colour. Prep, colour, clear coat and usually a blend into the door and the hood are separate refinish lines, priced by the shop for your colour, and on a fender they often cost more than the panel.
What else usually ends up on the bill
A hit hard enough to need a new fender usually damages what sits around it: the front wheel liner, the bracket that joins the bumper cover to the fender (two on a Model Y), the side repeater light and, on a Model Y, the black fender garnish over the wheel arch. These are small, cheap parts, and they show up once the fender is off, which is why a first estimate often grows after teardown.
Behind the fender is the fender support and, further in, the headlight. A headlight that is cracked or has a broken tab is a separate line and a much bigger one; see the headlight cost guide below. The side repeater light is a part Tesla's Model 3 procedure replaces as a matter of course; we do not stock it.
Order the fender for the right generation and side. Model 3 (2017–2023), Model 3 Highland, Model Y (2020–2024) and Model Y Juniper fenders each carry their own numbers and do not interchange. Left is the driver's side in Canada. The part-number guide below lists every number and what else to check while the fender is off.
Checking a quote against these numbers
Shops price labour as hours times their posted hourly rate. For a fender, the hours line should be close to the Tesla time in the table, plus refinish hours for the paint and the blend. If the hours are much higher, ask what else is included: a headlight, a wheel liner, a bumper cover, or alignment of other panels.
Check the part number against the table and against the car, and check the side. A remanufactured Tesla fender costs about twice the aftermarket panel; if the estimate names a genuine or OEM fender, that is the price band to compare it with. Both arrive e-coated and both need paint.
For the parts themselves, our prices are public list prices in Canadian dollars. A fender is CA$329 to CA$699 per side across the four generations; the Model Y Juniper and the remanufactured Model 3 panel are the two at the top of that range.

Frequently asked
How much is a Tesla Model 3 fender?
At MapleV, e-coated and unpainted: CA$329 per side for the 2017–2023 Model 3 as an aftermarket panel, or CA$699 for a remanufactured genuine Tesla fender, and CA$479 per side for the 2024+ Model 3 Highland. Paint and labour are extra.
How much is a Tesla Model Y fender?
At MapleV, e-coated and unpainted: CA$359 per side for the 2020–2024 Model Y and CA$679 per side for the 2025+ Model Y Juniper. Paint and labour are extra.
How long does it take to replace a Tesla fender?
Tesla's flat-rate time to fit a new front fender is 0.90 hour per side on the 2017–2023 Model 3, 1.14 hour on the Model 3 Highland, 1.02 hour on the 2020–2024 Model Y and 0.96 hour on the Model Y Juniper. Painting the fender, and blending the colour into the door and the hood, is extra and usually takes longer than fitting it.
Does the new fender come painted?
No. Every fender we sell is supplied e-coated, which means a primer coat and no colour. The body shop paints it to your car's colour code, which is how a matched finish is normally done.
Is a Tesla fender bolted on or welded?
Bolted. On the Model 3 and Model Y the front fender is held by bolts and a nut, with foam sealant along the top edge, so it comes off and goes on without cutting or welding. The rear quarter panel, by contrast, is a welded part of the body and is a different repair.
