Tesla Model 3 and Model Y front fender: part numbers by generation

Tesla Model Y front fender, left, Tesla OE 1493451-E0-B, supplied e-coated

Short answer: the front fender has a different Tesla part number for each generation. Model 3 2017–2023: 1081401-E0-D (left) and 1081400-E0-D (right). Model 3 Highland, 2024 on: 1714884-E0-F and 1714888-E0-F. Model Y 2020–2024: 1493451-E0-B and 1493452-E0-B. Model Y Juniper, 2025 on: 1934344-E0-A and 1934345-E0-A. In our catalogue each number fits one generation only.

Replacement fenders are supplied e-coated — primed, not painted — and are painted to match the car. On the 2017–2023 Model 3 and the 2020–2024 Model Y, Tesla's service manual takes off the front bumper cover and the headlight to remove a fender, which makes it the moment to check the brackets, the wheel liner and, on a Model Y, the fender trim. MapleV list prices for these fenders run CA$329 – CA$699; Tesla's Canadian list prices for front fenders were roughly CA$750 – CA$1,150 when we checked in September 2026.

Front fender part numbers by generation

Find the car's generation first: the fender changed with both refreshes. The table gives the left (driver side) and right (passenger side) fender for each one, with the other numbers we cross-reference to the same panel — an estimate may show either.

For the 2017–2023 Model 3 we list two versions of each side under the same Tesla number: an aftermarket fender, and a remanufactured OE fender, which is a genuine Tesla fender, professionally remanufactured.

Left or right, and what e-coated means

Tesla numbers the two sides separately: left (LH) is the driver's side of a North American car and right (RH) the passenger's side. Sided parts are not mirror-installable, so order the side the estimate names.

Every fender in our catalogue is supplied e-coated: the panel arrives with a primer coat and no colour — Tesla's own catalogue name for the 2017–2023 Model 3 panel ends in E-COATED. A body shop paints it to match the car.

What comes off when a front fender is replaced

Tesla's service manual procedure for the left front fender of the 2017–2023 Model 3 removes the front bumper cover (front fascia), the headlight and the fascia-side-to-fender bracket, and unplugs the side repeater light, before the bolts and the nut that hold the fender come out. Foam sealant between the top of the fender and the body is cut, and the new fender goes on over a dab of urethane on the primed shotgun panel. Tesla's flat-rate time for the procedure is 0.90 hour (correction code 10103002).

The same procedure moves three small parts from the old fender to the new one — the cowl screen carrier bracket, the headlight grommet and three front-trunk clips — and tells the technician to replace them if they are damaged. It fits a new side repeater light on the new fender, and refers to Tesla's fender alignment procedure for the panel gaps.

On the 2020–2024 Model Y, Tesla's remove-and-install procedure for the front fender takes off the front bumper cover, the front wheel liner, the headlight, the side repeater light and the fascia-side-to-fender bracket; its flat-rate time is 0.96 hour (correction code 10103001). The flat-rate times are Tesla's, as published in its service manual when we checked in October 2026.

Parts to check while the fender is off: Model 3, 2017–2023

Our catalogue notes front wheel liners as commonly torn, and the brackets that tie the bumper cover to the fender as commonly broken, in front-corner impacts. On this Model 3, two brackets join the bumper cover to each fender, one at the side and one toward the centre, and a stiffener bracket supports the front wheel liner.

Parts to check: Model 3 Highland, 2024 on

For the Highland we list the front wheel liner and the fascia-centre-to-fender bracket on each side. Tesla publishes a separate service manual for the 2024+ Model 3; its fender procedure is the reference for this car.

Parts to check: Model Y, 2020–2024

On the Model Y, a black fender garnish — the wheel-arch trim — sits over each front fender; our catalogue notes it as a common scrape and kerb-rash part, and Tesla's Model Y fender procedure takes a garnish off to release the bumper cover. Two brackets join the bumper cover to each fender, one at the side and one toward the centre.

Parts to check: Model Y Juniper, 2025 on

The Juniper has its own front wheel liners, fascia-side-to-fender brackets and fender garnish, with new numbers; none of the 2020–2024 Model Y parts above is listed for it in our catalogue.

Fender, wheel liner or garnish: the words on an estimate

The fender is the painted outer panel over the front wheel, between the front door and the bumper. The wheel liner, also called the fender liner or splash shield, is the plastic shell inside the wheel arch. The fender garnish is the black trim around the Model Y wheel arch.

On a French-language estimate in Quebec, the fender is the aile avant and the wheel liner is the fausse-aile (doublure d'aile), the terms of the Office québécois de la langue française. The two are easy to mix up, and they are different parts with different numbers.

Frequently asked

Does the 2017–2023 Model 3 front fender fit a Model 3 Highland?

No. The Highland (2024 on) uses 1714884-E0-F on the left and 1714888-E0-F on the right; the 2017–2023 Model 3 uses 1081401-E0-D and 1081400-E0-D. In our catalogue each fender is listed for its own generation only.

Does the Model Y Juniper use the same front fender as the 2020–2024 Model Y?

No. The Juniper (2025 on) uses 1934344-E0-A and 1934345-E0-A; the 2020–2024 Model Y uses 1493451-E0-B and 1493452-E0-B.

Do replacement Tesla fenders come painted?

No. The fenders we sell are supplied e-coated, with a primer coat and no colour, and are painted to match the car.

What else should be ordered with a front fender?

Check the front wheel liner and the brackets between the bumper cover and the fender, which our catalogue notes as commonly torn or broken in front-corner impacts, and on a Model Y the fender garnish. Tesla's 2017–2023 Model 3 procedure also fits a new side repeater light on the new fender.

What is a fausse-aile on a Quebec estimate?

The wheel liner (doublure d'aile), not the fender. The fender is the aile avant. Both are the terms of the Office québécois de la langue française.

Is MapleV affiliated with Tesla?
